As we went to a lunch meeting in Ginza we saw three people lined up in front of the Ginza Apple store to start waiting for the opportunity to walk in and buy an iPad. There were three people there. All males, all young with probably too much time on their hands.

After coming back from lunch, there were ten people in line and television camera’s and microphones with people from the Tokyo TV stations interviewing the guys sitting there with their camping chairs, books, and computers to keep them busy.

Let’s watch and see how much this product will catch on in Japan. Will it be a hit in the land of trains and portable everything or just a proverbial flash in the pan? Will keep you posted.

AINEO ordered our iPad for demonstration of applications we develop. It arrives tomorrow and we don’t have to stand in line!
